 Diving in USVI - St. Thomas or St. Croix

Hi all,

I’m planning a trip to USVI hopefully by end of February 09. I only have a bout 5 days to spend, so I can’t dive in both island. Does anyone know which island have better dive sites? And any dive center recommendation?

Hi Sandra,

Yeah I saw your post about Nektron dive cruise, it’s really tempting. You probably can see in my profile, I only have less than 30 dives under my belt and just got my Advance Open Water like 3 months ago. Do you think this newbie wouldn’t slow you guys down?

I’m still exploring how the heck I can come up with about $2K and blow it in one week, he he he...... When is the cut off day to sign up anyway?

Hi Moses. We’re not in a hurry to get anywhere. This is really a nice experience if you can make it and it will increase your experience tremendously because you’ll get between 19 and 24 dives in one trip. There will be around 30 people or so on this boat so it’s also a good way to meet other divers. There is not deadline for signing up except if they fill all the spots. Hi KC,


My husband and I dove for a week in St. Croix with Cane Bay. The owners Hal and Suzanne are great. If you go, please say hi to them from Michael and Sharyl. St Croix was our very first diving experience outside of our certfication. Cane Bay has a really cool way to enter the water. They are right across from the beach, so you can also do easy-entry shore dives. Hope this was somewhat helpful. Good luck!
