I was BOW certified in December in a poor visibility lake in North Texas.
I have some time off from work (I am a teacher) from April 1-5 and
would like to travel to clear water to do my first post cert dive.

I would like a somewhat experienced buddy to enjoy with me. I am
passport ready. If there is anyone that would like to go and could
help me organize, please let me know.

Hi Kimberly! Welcome to scuba and it is the MOST awesome experience!! I am excited by your enthusiasm!! I lost my scuba buddy to parenting 😆 and have been dying to find a good dive buddy. I actually posted looking for a dive buddy for the Blackbeard liveaboard that I have been dying to do. Since I posted, I actually am taking my niece on a vacation during their school break so I’m not available as I hoped to be. However, I am still wanting to do the dive trip, maybe during the summer so , you being a teacher (both my parents were! Go educators!), it could work out great. I have logged about 150 dives and am very comfortable diving and love it beyond words. However, I SUCK (and I hate that word but it sometimes is highly descriptive) at navigating. However, with the liveaboard and diving with many other people, it could work out great for us. Let’s keep in touch and I look forward to chatting with you and hopefully diving in the near future!!

Hello Kimberly Welcome to the Sport! I’ll be diving the gulf from Panama City Beach in June 12-19. Being a single woman diver (hubby does not dive) for 16 years I’ve learned many things. Check out Rainbow Reef Dive Center in Key Largo, FL. On their dives they provide a lead so you can enjoy being underwater and not worry about getting lost. On all boat dives you get buddied up with someone. I enjoy talking about diving if you have any questions.

Thank you so much! The Blackbeard liveaboard looks awesome! Yes, let’s keep in touch! Thank you, Carla for the suggestion. Do they have a resort in Key Largo?

Morning Kimberly— Before Covid my husband and I would visit an island in the spring; in the fall I would dive in Florida or visit an island. I’ve dived in Key Largo four times. Recently we built a house in Inlet Beach, FL, which is located on the panhandle close to Panama City Beach. I’ve been very fortunate my husband understands my passion and has gotten over of his fear of me traveling without him. The scuba outfit I got my open water; advanced; and Nitrox with would take yearly trips. Maybe your scuba outfit does too. I don’t know if you’re interested or comfortable, but my email address is ccanipe58@gmail.com if you want to chat that way.

I recently changed my login name. I was CarlaSea if you want to read a little bit more about me. I’m not CarlaSea...I’m not big on change :)

Kimberly,

Welcome to diving. I too learned to dive at 40 degrees and 8 to 10 feet or less of visibility. my wife wont even think about diving. Iam diving Fort Lauderdale April 11 to the 14th. I have some continuing education classes there the rest of that week. Shoot me an E mail for this or another trip. I am thinking about Cozumel early summer...
