Whale Sharks are being consumed for our own selfish use.

It’s very disappointing to see stories like this but where do you draw the line.

The story and the one its linked to about omega-3 oils is short on details as to what brands are using whale shark byproducts or even the fish oil that is rancid :(

I understand the taking of a few whales of any kind by local tribes that were here doing it before we were around. After all they didn’t cause the decline of these majestic animals modern man did.

From Progrower: I understand the taking of a few whales of any kind by local tribes that were here doing it before we were around. After all they didn’t cause the decline of these majestic animals modern man did.

Actually early man did wipe out the big lizards and birds in Austrailia but that was probably a case of eat or be eaten :(

Those who jusify hunting whales because their ancestors did it whould probably be upset if headhunters in the South Pacific islands took a few of their tourist :)
