Any one up for a cheap spring dive this week end? $6:00 at the Florida state parks. Manatte springs catfish hotel, Blue spings come to mind or open to sugestions. Free shore dive Spanish Rocks Bradenton Florida is a good dive.

Do you freedive, Doug?

Did a recon visit to Spanish Rocks . Looks like a great shore dive and is a little less than an hour from where I live. Didn’t see any showers, but a guy I asked said there’s a public beach with showers a little to the North of Spanish Rocks.

I’ll post a buddy call to freedive the Reef. Answer if you’re interested.

No I do not free dive. I like tanks with lots of air. Spanish Rocks is about the best shore dive on the west coast of central Florida. Blue Heron on the west coast is the most popular in Florida but needs to be done during high slack tide.

I like tanks, too. Only difference is whether they’re on the inside or on the outside.

Thanks for the info on Blue Heron. See ya on the reef.

I will have to plan a Blue Heron dive sometime.
Happy diving!
