Does anyone know if Martha’s Quarry is open still near Nashville? I have heard rumors that it has been shut down?

Well there are comments about dives in it last month on the site http://www.divebuddy.com/divesite.aspx?DiveSiteID=1625 Did you call the number listed? If things have changed please update the site.

Martha’s is now a completely self-sufficient quarry. The entry is a rutted dirt road leading into the woods. You part in the trees, gear up, and hike 50-100 yards to the water. No dive shop, no air fills, no nothing but mosquito’s and water. It is still a $30 entry fee and considering that Pennyroyal is $25 and Mermet is $20 I choose to drive a little further for a much nicer dive experience personally.

If you just have to get wet and time won’t permit a slightly longer drive then it will do but for me is is a last resort dive stop.
