We will be in Grand Cayman May 23 to May 30. I am looking for an experienced diver who may be interested in joining my adventurous husband for some shore diving. We have nothing booked, we usually make up our schedule as we go along & are flexible with it during the time we’ll be there.

My dad and I will be in grand Cayman 5/20-5/27. We are planning on diving the kittywake while we are there. We haven’t planned any other dives yet.

To Keepcalmdiveon: We had hoped to dive Kittiwake too & are now discussing snorkeling it. Our dilema is that we planned this trip then afterward have learned I’m pregnant so will not be able to be my hubby’s dive buddy :( So I was just trying to possibly find people for him to go with so that he can still do some diving & not just be limited to snorkeling our entire trip. We usually do lots of shore diving. Last couple times we’ve been there we bought a package for shore diving through Cobalt Coast. We had hoped to rent tanks & explore other shore sites but not sure if that will work out or not this time. Where else have you & your dad been diving? Have you been to GC before?

I actually got my open water cert about a month ago so that would be my first big salt water dive. I’ve done a few fresh water dives with my dad and he went diving In Hawaii last year. No I have never been to GC before, its sort of a college grad trip

Steven - My husband & I stayed @ Morritts in 2008 for our honeymoon & did the Sunset House Mermaid dive that year too. He had stayed @ SH a couple previous years with friends & been diving with them so knew where it was. It was a fun one. We were hoping to do it again this trip but only if we can find someone to go with him. Have never met Kimberly but sounds like a fun job she has! I love that there is so much easy shore diving available on the island!

Hi All, I have just joined the site as I am living in Grand Cayman.

Have noticed that you are looking for shore diving buddies this week and start of next. I am unsure exactly when I’ll be off over the weekend and next week but I will have at least two days off and would be happy to go shore diving with you. Will find out my days off tomorrow/thursday. I’m also off tomorrow but doubt we can set anything up in time, plus the weather looks rough!

I am pretty familiar with a few of the more popular sites (Sunset, Eden, Macabuca, Lighthouse Point etc) as I was here on vacation last November and have been here for two months now. Anyway let me know either by personal message on here or by emailing me at jordicharles@hotmail.com.

Cheers,

Jordan
