All, Please read the following post on the deco stop: http://thedecostop.com/forums/showthread.php?p=326684#post326684 Medic Tom is taking photo`s from Public Safety divers/ Tech Divers and claiming an association to the diver`s and to public safety diving. Please note that the PADI numbers for certification provided by Medic Tom are invalid, the CAST (Canadian Amphibious Search Team) Team (to which he claims to be associated to) has no knowledge of him, a member of the Executive Board for Dive Rescue International confirmed that he has never taken a class and is not a member of the International Association of Dive Rescue Specialists. Additionally, ERDI (Emergency Response Divers International) allows users to quety names to confirm certifications. I was less than thrilled to see my pictures posted on his site under a new screen name http://www.flickr.com/photos/psdivertom/page4/ and I am sure other members will not be pleased to see their pics as well.

I`ve seen military posers on myspace. I guess there are diver posers to. One of these days you`d think that people would figure out that playing games like that amonst the real deal will get them caught.

I will humbly modify my initial post as soon as the site owner of dive buddy tells me he has seen a certification for the individual mentioned from DRI (Dive Rescue International), LGS (Lifeguard Systems), ERDI (Emergency Response Diving International), PADI Master Instructor, as well as a proof of membership for IADRS (International Association of Dive Rescue Specialists) or the CAST dive team. The founder and leader of the CAST Team is well aware of the individual posing as a member of his team, and the founder of the IADRS is also aware of this individual. Playing musical chairs with certification agencies on a profile does not add to one`s credibility. All organizations listed above have been listed on this member`s posts or in different iterations of his profile.
