Is anyone interested in diving the Comal River? The water temp. is a year round 71-74 degrees. I was going to go yesterday, but my dive buddy was unable to go. I would like to go either this Sunday (1/03/10) since the weather forcast looks pretty good or next Saturday/Sunday (1/09/10 / 1/10/10) weather pemitting. Please get in touch with me via DB and we can set up a place to meet.

Unfortunately I live too far away. But 70+ temp water sounds nice right now. Where is the Comal River and what sort of critters can you find in it? Just curious.

The Comal River is in San Marcos, Tx. You can find out more info by going to the "Dive Sites" section of DiveBuddy and search for Comal River and it will pull up some info. on it.

Checked it out in Dive Sites. Sounds like it could be fund to mess with the tubers :-) Water temp and viz sound great! I’m used to 56 degrees and 10’ viz out here on the West Coast. But only 15’ max depth doesn’t sound like much. Still I’ll bet you can have a lot of fun exploring. Thanks for sharing.
