What exactly are these reward points. The way they are supposed to work is you get points for certain things. Geez, It seems like you only get points for signing in.

Nope. You get points for writing quality blogs. I assume Greg determines what is "quality". Then, if you refer someone who signs up for divebuddy.com, you get points each time that person logs on as well. Last, you get points for participating in a survey when they are posted in the verticle blue section to the right of your DB screen.

Hope this hels clear up how they are earned. For a limited time, when you reach 100 points and refer five (5) people who sign up (active member) for DB, you qualify for a $20 gift certificate from DB to your specified local dive shop.

Is it clear as mud now?

Wow, that last post sounds like I wrote it (this is Greg). You get points for good blogs, adding to the classified section, participating in the survey, referring friends, loggin in, and friends logging in. At the end of the year I`ll hold a drawing for scuba gear and anyone over 500 points is entered into the drawing.

How do you know how many people you`ve got to join? I know I have 2 or three, but I use the who`s your buddy link a lot of times on the myspace SCUBA boards and my profile. I have no idea if I`ve coaxed any others onto dive buddy.

Click on Manage Referrals. It is in your home portion of DB, just to the right of where a profile picture would go or is in the bottom of the box labeled Refer a Friend.

This page will show you how many referrals you have sent that remain unfilled as well as a list of those who have joined through you below that. Those who join by referral will have the date they joined (newest has the lowest number designation), their first name, and their user name. Hope that helps!

BTW Greg, this is supposed to be an anonymous forum. Where`s the forum police (aka moderators) when we need them!

Wow, I got thirteen?!?!?!, and closing on 900 points. Hey Greg, where`s my gift certificate?

Does it really matter that you get points??? I personally enjoy the knowledge, pictures, and stories. Not the points!

This is an anonymouse thread, notice you can`t see who leaves a message like you can in the other sections.

If you have enough reward points and referrals to get a certificate, send Greg a message.
