Query to all tech divers

I am working towards my full cave, advanced nitrox and deep diveing certs. I need to complete my tech gear and am looking for opinions and advice from those of you who have gone this route. I am presently using a ScubaPro MK25/550 and need a second set. My question: should I stay with Scuba Pro, which I am totally happy with, or switch to something like Poseidon or Diverite etc? It has been recommended that I use the SP on my deco bottle and put Poseidons on my twin set. Why? I actually am trained to service Poseidon so I know them well and like them a lot from a service perspective, but I only dove one once and my Scuba Pro breathes much better at depth. Also I do not like how Poseidon has changed ownership or distribution so often recently. It doesn’t seem like a stabel company to me.
Okay, there it is. Any input? Any remarks on other gear would also be appreciated.
Thanks
Go get wet!

Poseidon has been around forever, but yes who sells them has changed. They do use a different IP than the others so don’t mix them on the 1st. stage.

I would recommend Apeks regulators, http://www.apeks.co.uk/products/product_cats.asp?Lan=ENG&Category=Regulators ATX40/DS4 for your back gas and ATX50 for your stage or deco bottle, the other models don’t work too well for hose routing. They’re excellent high performance cold water regs and very easy to service (for the most part, all you need is common tools except for the pin spanner- sometimes you need 2 pin spanners). You can mix and match them with your Scuba pro for your back gas (clean streamline hose routing-that’s if you’re using back mounted doubles). Poseidon first stage is okay but they’re not environmentally sealed, I wouldn’t recommend the 2nd stage for a lot of reasons.
