I recently stayed at Sunset house. The mermaid is right there!. Its a very nice easy dive.
I liked Big sand chute dive. you see a rather large sand chute separating 2 reefs. it was very beautiful.
I got to see a hammerhead shark as i was going my safety stop. He was at around 50-60 feet! that was the highlight of my trip.
regarding transportation im not sure what to tell you. if you want to venture either hook up with someone , or rent a car or a bike. a 2 taxi minute ride will be 10 dollars, the 5-6 minute ride to the airport is about 17-18 dollars.
for nice dinning ( which i always like to do when i travel) go to the wharf or great old house. they are expensive though (70-90 per person).
sunset house is nice and relaxing. i would go back there.
