Spearfishing is a sensitive topic around our parts. Not because of the restrictions on some areas, most areas are hunting grounds, but because of the lives that where lost simply doing what they love. I spearfish, however limit my game to certain kilos and size. There are many ways for you to string a fish when cought, however, limit the load you carry underwater. The more strings or gear you bring with you while hunting underwater, the more chances of you getting into DEEP trouble if you hit a certain type of fish that could bring you up immediately from 35m while your line is snaged on to you... you know it won`t be a good day if this happends. All you need is a stringer, a knife and your gun. This is my opinion. Scuba: limit your catch to 30 kilos. More than that you should try open water hunting instead, there you won`t need a guy to watch over your game and you won`t need to bring lifters to carry your game up, Open water hunting: Float, gun, knife. Simple and you catch big game.
