From Agojo: I would have liked to watched trying to get back into a canoe.
Lucky for us this was before YouTube, a dive shop on NY’s Lake George had told us about a wreck which we never found. We tried getting the gear back in first, had to break the kit down first while in the water, try treading water while holding a tank over your head! We got the gear in in pieces but then almost sent all to the bottom trying to board ourselves. Even tried the choregraphed one on each side but that didn’t go well. Gave up and pushed the canoe to shore all the while in sight of a tour boat. I’m sure it’s captain was hanging around for the entertainment :)
On a more related note, there was a local diver using an inflated dive kayak, his only complaint was that it was like a cork and without a keel blew wherever the wind wanted it.
