Hello. Depending on the time of the year you are diving here may require you to wear a different thickness (type) of suit. The water temp in the summer averages around 84 degrees and dips to around 78 degrees from jan - april. If you are the type of person who gets cold , summer you may be happy with just wearing a shorty suit. During winter months I would suggest atleast a 3mm suit to keep you warm if you plan on being in the water a lot. You can also use a neoprene vest to layer up if thats not enough. Personally, I wear a shorty in the summer along with a tropical hood. Right now I have switched over to my 5/4 suit ( with tropical hood). I have seen people diving wearing just a rash guard and shorts year round, so they obviously don’t get cold easily. During winter months , its ideal to bring along a light jacket to wear on the boat during surface interval.
