Not a lot of shore diving in south Jersey although I’m going to be house sitting in Ocean City next month and plan on an exploritory dive at http://www.divebuddy.com/divesite.aspx?DiveSiteID=4162 under the bridge.

Most shore diving in NJ is in inlets, Shark River being the best with 4 entry points but must be done at slack high tide and your dive window is short, 45-60 minutes before the tide changes and the current too much to handle and that’s a long ride for both of you for one dive.

Beach dives are harder on you and equipment with the surf putting sand in everything however the dive window is longer and I’m curious to see some of the beach wrecks now that Sandy has moved tons of sand off of them.

I have a beach cart and my wife for shore support :)

If you’re into a road trip let me know what date and we’ll see what the tides are good for.
