I am a female buddy in search of a partner in the caribbean ... I did meet up with Dive buddy people for one week last year in Bonaire and it was a great experience.
Quickly about me : I’m 30 y-o, French, PADI AOW, 60 dives or so, novice underwater photographer. I dived in South East Asia mostly (Timor, Indonesia, Malaysia) and a bit in the Carribean (Cuba, Bonaire, Guadeloupe)
I have never been to Utila and would love to check it out. But I live in Port-au-Prince and the connections are not always easy. Let me quickly check what I can find (in terms of prices and availability) and get back to you.
if you’re not stuck on the destination, we might find a common ground. I know there are direct flight from Port-au-prince to Panama, Cuba, Dom. Rep., Guadeloupe and Turks & Caicos . All offer very nice diving spots - although Cuba may be problematic if you’re American and Turks and Caicos can be quite expensive...
Where do you live and where have you already dived ? What are you looking for in diving (wrecks, big fish, protected areas, all of the above ?). I recently bought a "best dives of the carribean" so I’m sure we can find something ...
For me, the question of how long I can take could also be an issue : I would need to request vacation days but I may be renewing my contract at the time... it’s always a bit tricky.
So logsitically speaking, when would you need a definitive answer ?
