Although you are just now learning and getting comfortable with the gear, it’s features and uses and such, do yourself a favor and take a realistic approach in regards to the type of diving you REALLY want to do in the future. I went from scratching the surface in the sport, doing only quarry dives, then a few ocean dives which lead to an interest in spearfishing and lobstering, and now I’m a full-blown wreck diving and spearfishing junkie who is on his third set of gear. If I had taken the time to think about what I really wanted to do with this sport I would have spent a whole lot less money, although I have no regrets. Just something to think about.
