I went scuba diving here on 8/2/2017. Average viz: 11-15ft/3-5m. Water temp: 56-60°F/13-16°C.
Very nice dive if you are just looking to get your feet wet and practice your skills. Water temperatures drop considerably at the thermoclines and would almost require a dry suit if you plan on diving beyond 35’. Visibility is not the greatest because of the silty bottom but there is still much to explore and discover. From a variety of fresh-water fish to the elusive antique bottle or oil lamp, you’re bound to see something. Will definitely have to go back to check out other areas of the lake and maybe invest in cold water gear to check the deeper areas.
