A.G. Ropes is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located in Seaside Park, NJ.
The three masted schooner A.G. Ropes was 258.2 feet long, had a 44.7 foot beam and displaced 2,460 gross tons. She was built in 1884 by Chapman and Ropes in Bath, Maine.
The wreck of the A.G. Ropes now lies buried under a few feet of sand on the beach of Island Beach State Park. The wreck’s bow is up by the dunes and her stern is in the surf. After a storm the wreck’s outline can be seen in the sand.
