Nursery is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located in Pompano Beach, FL. This dive site has an average rating of 3.43 out of 5 from 7 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 31-35ft/9-11m.

from southfloridadiving.com; We named this site the "Nursery" many years ago after the family of nurse sharks that reside here. There is good habitat here, with large under cut ledges. The sharks are used to divers and snorkelers and usually swim around under the boat. Hundreds of other fish surround the snorkelers on the surface..Occasionally we see the resident morey eel. The "Nursery" has been featured in numerous T.V. shows and magazines.

Navigation: The "Nursery" is usually an anchor dive, because most participants want to stay and interact with the nurse sharks. However take a flag and venture down the ledge and come back for more shark action. This is the best shallow dive in SE Florida!

Some say this is between 2nd and 8th streets 1/3 mile off shore

1st Open Water Certification dive. Easy spot to dive, and the first contact with the nurse sharks was awesome. Great colors and nice marine life. Dive was organized by the South Florida Diving Headquarters, and they did a great job on our training. The visibility was not good on that day, but the nurse sharks get close enough to you, so no problem there.
