Breakers South is a fresh water dive site, located in West Palm Beach, FL. This dive site has an average rating of 3.64 out of 5 from 22 scuba divers.

Broken patchy inside reef with not much definition to the edge. Over 200 yards across at widest point. Patches of sand throughout the reef, many small ledges and undercuts. Good lobster territory, as many hiding places. Many individual ecosystems as tropicals find lots of hiding places. Depth 49 feet on top sloping to about 60. Not a favorite of mine, as too many better sites in this area, but common with new operators as it’s easy to hit the drop.

This was my first dive in the ocean when I went on vacation to Palm Beach in September of 2016. It was ok. Nice stuff to look at. Current was rolling that day.

I went here for mini lobster season. If you’re not looking for lobster, it’s there are generally better dives in the area.

Not as concentrated as some of the other sites around but it’s real easy to get some good lobsters here!

I went scuba diving here on 12/1/2013. Average viz: 51-60ft/16-18m. Water temp: 76-80°F/24-27°C.
Nice drift dive. Saw some eels, lion fish, angel fish, grunts and plenty of other fish types.
The dive leader was lion fish hunting.
Over all a nice dive as the wind and waves had calmed down compared to the prior two days.

Went there 7/15 and 7/16/13. A drift dive, so your results may vary! A week or so before lobster season opens so we found a large number of them - pretty impressive. Several turtles, and lot’s of eels.
