Morehead City railroad bridge is a shore accessible salt water dive site, located in Morehead City, NC. This dive site has an average rating of 2.83 out of 5 from 6 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 16-20ft/5-6m. The average visibility is under 5ft/2m.

Cross the RT 70 bridge to Radio Island and turn left into the pier parking area. The access point is right under the bridge, which parallels the railroad tracks. Max depth is about 20’, but it averages around 15 feet. Plenty of Sheephead and urchins, but the vis is not so good - 2 to 3 when I was there. You really need to catch it at high slack to get any enjoyment from this dive. The good side is the ease of access. You can park 50 feet from the entry point. As opposed to the Radio Island jetty, it’s a good deal. This is OK if you get blown out and really want dive.

Popped in here when we got blown out on the big water. Good dive, saw seahorses and several other lifeforms. Good fill in dive.
