Buddies Reef is a boat accessible salt water dive site, located in Mozambique. The maximum depth is 31-35ft/9-11m. The average visibility is 61-70ft/19-21m.

This is an oval rocky reef cut by channels and gullies. With a shallow average depth, this reef along with Clownfish and Anchor Bay offers a perfect training ground or an opportunity to study some of the smaller fish and nudibranch that Tofo offers. Pairs of Clownfish and other Anemone fish are common, often with young. Black Spotted and Honeycomb Morays lurk under the ledges and Lobsters and Crays hide in the gullies. Coachmen, Moorish Idols, the magnificent Juvenile Emperor and other Angel Fish move in clouds above the reef.

The coral is rich and varied: Cnidarians (Whip corals and Fan corals), Hard Corals (Clustered Finger, Staghorn) Anemones (Magnificent Anemone . home of the clownfish). A good place for Fish I.D. specialty or brushing up on the wildlife you’ve forgotten.
