Dove here on Oct 23, 2015. Viz 10 ft water warm (haven’t checked the log yet). Found a surelok weight pouch. Second time I have found one in not too many dives. Do they fall out easily? Wouldn’t you realize dropping six pounds?

Contact me if you lost one and describe the markings on it and I will get it back to you.

I went scuba diving here on 7/18/2014. Average viz: 5-10ft/2-3m. Water temp: 61-65°F/16-18°C.
Cloudy and drizzly, but the temp was the same as yesterday with almost no thermocline at 42 feet. The crayfish were ornrey! ;-)

I went scuba diving here on 7/17/2014. Average viz: 5-10ft/2-3m. Water temp: 61-65°F/16-18°C.
Nice, sunny day and there was little to no thermocline even at 42 feet. The current was slightly moderate in certain places.

A good "lunch break." 41-minute dive with Mark Guenther under the Pepper’s Ferry bridge in Fairlawn/Radford, VA. Considering the recent weather, the conditions were a bit disappointing - water temp was about 63F and viz was only about 6 feet (and dark). We saw a nice largemouth bass at the bottom and a very large crawdad (crayfish to the laymen). Still a fun dive between shifts at work!

Pretty good for a free dive in the mountains of SW VA. Always dive upstream of the bridge or just under it. There’s little or nothing to see/do downstream and it gets pretty shallow. The Scuba Club at Virginia Tech has a sign underwater showing they’ve adopted the area. Neat little plaque.
