I went scuba diving here on 7/26/2013. Average viz: Under 5ft/2m. Water temp: Under 50°F/10°C.
Solo dive, had to cut the dive short, vis was ugly.......I was once told that I should not dive if things happen in threes......One Lost O-ring, Two yelled at for diving and not hauling off the trash, Three poor vis.........

IMHO Carter is a lot better. You don’t have to wallow in the mud to get in and out. Carter has mostly a rocky bottom, Lanier is mud and for me its closer.

Not bad alot like lake lanier......just deeper
