Whale Cove is another great place to try your hand at lobstering. With a relatively easy entry, watch out for swells and boulders!

Directions: At the end of SR 128 in Cape Ann, turn Left on SR 127A (Cross Street). In one half mile, turn left (following SR 127A) onto Thatcher Road. After 3.6 miles, turn right onto Whale Cove Lane (not Whale Cove Rd) for another 200 yards at which point you will dead end.

MarkS - 9/25/2014 7:54 PM I went scuba diving here on 9/25/2014. Average viz: 11-15ft/3-5m. Water temp: 56-60°F/13-16°C. Great dive location which is sheltered from the coast line winds. Great underwater scenery with rock formations, schools of fish and many lobsters (all with eggs or not of legal size), but it was still fun hunting them down. Definetly worth the 90 inute ride tomget there. Can not wait to go back. Only in the off season can non residents park here.
