Cedarville is a boat accessible fresh water dive site, located in Mackinac, MI. This dive site has an average rating of 4.25 out of 5 from 8 scuba divers. The maximum depth is 101-110ft/31-34m. The average visibility is 21-25ft/6-8m.
The Cedarville is a 588 ft. self-loading freighter that sank with a load of limestone in 1965 after a collision with the Norwegian vessel Topdalsfijord. The ship rests on the bottom almost upside down. The bottom of the hull is in 35ft - 40ft of water with the superstructure and pilot house at 75ft and deeper.
The wreck has lots of penetration opportunities but also a high silt-out hazard.
