I did the Stuart cove shark dive they did not chum the water the divers went to the bottom and waited then the person came down. It was very safe and a great time

I heard recently from someone who did this tour 2 years ago that the Stuart’s Cove staff chum the water prior to the divers getting in.

This is pretty poor on a couple of levels. First and foremost as divers, we’re clearly not supposed to interfere with their natural behaviour and secondly, to go diving with sharks once they been riled a little is just plain dumb. The chance of an accident occuring would escalate and then who would be blamed?

Sharks already need our support to keep stupid humans from slaughtering them, never mind doing these kinds of acts

Cool experience, great coral reef. Stuart’s Cove staff are "on the job" so a tad stuffy and rushed.
