Soft black sand down the entrance. To the left there are deep volcanic fishers along with pockets of coralheads teaming with life. To the right a long sandbar leading to shear clifs that go to about 20 feet deep. The middle has a boat moaring that a 40 or so foot catamaran takes out tourists for winter whale wach tours. Gated community inside the Mauna Lani hotel area.

I love this beach and live 15 minutes away. I snorkel here often and like the variety with the black pebbles on the beach, white sand bottom with interspersed coral and lots of sealife. It is usually not crowded.

Nice beach, not crowded with a bottom of coral and white sands. Lots of sealife with a max depth of about 45 feet or so. I like to swim here for exercise because I can see the bottom all the way across the bay.
