I went scuba diving here on 9/4/2023. Average viz: 11-15ft/3-5m. Water temp: 76-80°F/24-27°C.
This place is closing at the end of this year so this might be your last chance to dive here unless someone else decides to take over. This is a nice place so I hope it finds new ownership.

I will be in Columbus the weekend of March 12-14 2021 and I have the itch to get wet. Will anyone be here that time frame? I can actually stay until Monday.

Dove here this past Saturday and vis ranged from 1-3ft. Surface water 84f bottom mid 70’s
The spot near the bronco on the north side of the south quarry was clear enough for a pic or 2 but the rest was navigating training and or hand on the ropes. There were some spots it was like black coffee and that will test your sense of direction!
Like others when it gets cooler it gets clearer.. happy diving be safe.

The site is
well maintained with good visibility. Max depth is 21 feet.
It’s a good place to practice with several sunken items to see. I dove three times the week I was there.
You will find a school bus, an ambulance, a couple of boats, tractor trailer as a
platform, an airplane and plenty of bluegill and catfish. They added some
fun by placing mannequins throughout and a few bowling balls to pass
around. The visibility ranges from 6-20 feet depending upon the number of
divers. The water temperature in the
beginning September required a mere 3mm.
There are two quarries to choose from and I only went to the one nearest
the business office (south side). I was
told by a dive master that the north side quarry was a bit warmer with less
visibility. The entrance to the site is
a bit odd with it being between a railroad track and a junk yard. The quarry is practically under a highway
overpass. The owner of 30 years runs the
place with his wife. They are very
friendly and they have an assortment of dive equipment with dive rentals and
refills. Sorry, no Nitrox available
here. Stop by, I’m sure you will enjoy this
site as much as I did.

Did my checkout dives here, we were first in the water so visibility was good until 30 more divers got in with us. Still a fun dive site ans good for low visibility navigation.
