Pearl Lake
South Beloit, IL
Water Type: Fresh
Entry Type: Shore
Dive 1: Entered from East Bank, Boat, Grassy Patch, swam around lost. Dive leader had a broken compass. Note to self always verify compasses true readings with buddies before dive.

Dive 2: This was my first time leading a dive. Entered from east bank, headed south then returned North following the contour of the Eastern edge. Leading a dive changes everything. More air consumption, and less enjoyment. Positive note I did not get lost. Visibility sucked after the rain 5 ft at best.
