Finally got back in the water overdue after a few weeks and surprisingly the visibility was pretty good. We had a new diver join us (Bob). With Bob’s already extensive experience in shore diving we decided to shoot for deadmans. We had to time the entry a bit and locating the reef was tricky with the exaggerated high tide and some significant current even though we followed the kelp down we were off about 25 feet but went deeper and found it. Ran into mating crabs, octo, and many good size fish no doubt thanks to the effect of the MPA. The water has also warmed up quite a bit as high as 64. Good kick off to the start of the summer diving season with the guys from NBTT (Get out and dive with us!) http://www.nbttdiveclub.com
