First dive of the season. Wanted to check out the new system installed at the quarry. First of all, new guide ropes had been installed as well as some new objects placed in the water. Although the water was cool for American, it was still around 68 degrees. After entry, we went to the 15 foot platform and hung out there for a few minutes just getting used to being back underwater. We then followed a new rope to a trampoline that had been placed in the water on the north side of the pit. From there we follwed a rope to the houseboat and then to the stop sign and back tot he bus. We ended up coming back to the 15 foot platform and followed a rope into the pit. The water was much clearer down there than I had ever seen it and the temps at the bottom was still 68 degrees. Terri finally got chilly so we exited and packed it in for the day. Overall, a very nice dive to start the season.
