Well, If you have not heard yet, I went down on Sept. 14th to start my world record attempt, and did not surface until Sept. 16th setting the New World Record for the longest saltwater scuba dive at 48 Hours 2 Minutes. It is now less than a week to my World Record Attempt. Everything is ready to go. Tricia , Member on here is part of my team, and arrived on the Island a few days ago, and has reported the diving has been very good. B y this time next week I should be at least half way through the attempt. I will try to report back after the attempt from the Island to let everyone know how things went....

During my time at OWU 2009 I was interviewed by Greg the Divemaster from . That interview is now online. My interview is one of the last interviews done on the first hour of the Feb. 28th broadcast. As I know some here are following the progress to my World Record attempt, I wanted to post a little update. I got news today that I will have another sponsor for my attempt. ReefNet has contacted me today to let me know they will be providing me with a Sensus Ultra Dive recorder. This piece of gear will be able to record the dive profile in 1 minute resolution for up to 150 hours. This kind of data will be great to provide to Guinness for a piece of proof of the dive. Our World Underwater 2009 was a great experience. I got my booth from a sponsor to promote my World Record Attempt, and got so much more out of it than I expected.
