Dogfish Numbers Decrease In Puget Sound August 2, 2005 Release from: UPI The number of dogfish in Washington State is at an historic low, with officials estimating current numbers are just one-sixth of those reported in 1987. Over-fishing is blamed for the dramatic decline, researchers told the Seattle Times. Statistics in 2001 -- the most recent available - indicated there were 1.75 million dogfish in Washington`s inland waters, compared with more than 10 million 15 years earlier. "We need to g...

jeff98208 - 4/22/2007 12:00 AM
today i learned how to use the mark 5. it was better than i thought it would be. the hard part was learning how to walk in the water. with 17 1/2 pounds on your feet, it is a little tricky. all in all, it was a blast. i enjoyed it very much, i`m just glad dive gear today is much more comfortable....

i was diving at edmonds underwater park, today. and i picked up not only a golfball, but i also picked just 1 of thousands or more their. i picked them up to show my children the terrible things we`re doing to our oceans world wide. i am trying to educate the younglings what would the oceans be like if there where no more animals in the waters of our planet, and what actions we as a people can do to preserve our waters world wide. the bottle came up from 50ft and the golfball from 25ft. anyways,...

jeff98208 - 3/11/2006 12:00 AM
All though I have not dived at this site in about a year, I still enjoy just as much. For the first time I heard the local ferry underwater, at first I couldn`t figure it out. We paid our respects to a fellow diver who was last seen at the depth of 60 feet. My dive buddy never before dived at Mukilteo so I gave him a tour. All in all it was a great dive. We even saw a Lingcod, which was cool!...
Rat Fish Rat Fish
jeff98208 - 2/13/2006 12:00 AM
Second time I dove at Edmonds, Washington. We (my brother, sister-in-law, and a friend of ours) saw a rat fish. We never even heard of one, let alone seen one. It was a joy seeing it for the first time. When I saw that rat fish I was at a depth of 55 feet. On that dive, it was in December. Have a good day!...
