From the beginning

Well, let`s start at the beginning, where of course most things start. I`m a 42 year old married guy from Northwest Indiana who grew up an outdoorsman. I was a constuction Millwright until I injured my back about a decade ago and have since had 6 spinal surgeries. So what does a retired disabled construction worker do with himself? He goes fishing, plays guitar, and now if everything goes well becomes a diver. I went to my first class at the scuba tank in Valparaiso this past Monday and went through the first 3 chapters of the book. Today I get to get in the pool!!!! I can`t wait! I`ve been snorkeling local lakes for the past couple of months and am hooked on that so I imagine when i add breathing underwater that it will be even more gratifying. If everything goes well I plan to continue my dive education as far as I can take it,and to dive as often as possible. I`m not a rich guy by any means so I`ll probably do 99% of my diving in local areas. I have a old but dependable 16 ft. deep V with electric anchors and a 40 horse motor plus some shore accsess to a couple of local lakes. I hope to meet some dive buddies who are interested in studying Game fish and their habitat and also plan to wreck dive the great Lakes as much as I can afford so if this sounds fun and you live in the area or would like to come this way drop me a line. Well, I guess i`ll tell ya how things went after my pool session tonight. Have a good one, and be safe!
