2011 Dive Season The 2011 dive season in the Northeast is here. Air temp’s are about 10 degrees below normal and the water is barely warm enough to keep the ice from returning but we are ready. This season we decided it was time to take the next step. Over the winter we purchased a 1999 26’ Seaswirl Striper. Radar, side scan sonar, GPS and a Proton Magnatometer have been installed, the cleaning is done, motor’s tuned up and the gas tanks full. Today we went in the water and tomorrow I’m installing the ’Roll-Control’ tank holders. Our plan is to take a little shakedown cruise in the afternoon and if all works well, next Saturday we’re diving. Tanks are all full, regulators have been overhauled and all my drysuit seals are new. We’ll be looking for a couple of new wrecks that we have numbers for, hopefully they get us in the neighborhood so our gear can pin it down, and then it a short 75 foot drop to the bottom. I’ll let you know what we find...
