TrashFest 2008 Hello Divers,
We had a great turn out for TrashFest ’08 on October 4, 2008 DiveBuddy.com had two teams and we got 2nd place in the aggregate weight category. Thanks to Greg he found 3 big bags of concrete with rebar, it took two 50 lbs lift bags with Greg, and I holding onto it “not the safest but it worked” and it took the entire team to lift it out of the water.
There were 398 Divers and was 3,679 lbs in aggregate, 5,562 bottles/cans/cups, and 149 shoes/sunglasses removed from the Comal River.

And a big thanks goes to “Duggan Diving” the shop that donated 22 tanks for the DiveBuddy.com teams
!!!!!! Mark your calendars for TrashFest ’09 it will be on October 3, 2009 and we will have teams so I will have a sign up soon!!!!!!

You had 368 divers in how many miles of river? Did you weigh the trash? Wow, that is amazing! Do you dive the same stretch of river every year? The people who use the river as a trash can need to be shot. markm
