I managed to get out of Dodge today ... met up with Larry and Bill from wreckvalley.com for some dives at Dutch Springs.

Weather was great, connected with Larry as we were waiting for the gates to open; Bill joined us while we were gearing up.

My neck seal had been replaced; so I was ready to dive dry.

First dive was out to the hole (stopping at the 6x first). On the way back, we saw the dynamite shack and then to the crane and back to the platforms. Neither Larry nor Bill had been at that part of the quarry, so it was a nice dive for them.

Second dive was the tanker loop. A nice relaxing dive, we didn’t rush and went close to an hour before surfacing. A great dive.

Bill decided to pass on the third dive; Larry and I did a nice circuit of the student cove (again, about an hour). Bill followed, snorkeling on the surface. We saw two dead fish; first time I had ever see any. A fairly big one on the unmarked boat south of the school bus. Larry also found a crawfish treat by the firetruck for one of the local residents.

We finished about 2pm; Larry and Bill each had to leave. It looked like most folks were packing up, so I decided to follow suit. After the obligatory stop at The Spot, I was home by 4:30.
