Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay Las Vegas NevadaSo for Xmas I did another tank dive. Shark reef at Mandalay bay Las Vegas is a really cool dive, with lots of life in the tank. The tour starts with a tour of the entire facility and then off to the locker rooms to don your wet suit. Once you are comfortably in your 5 mill you slide in to a full chain mail suit, bcd, then in to a small pool for weight check. After a few fin pivots the dive master opens a gate and you are off into the shark pool. Down on the top of the "ship wreck" one more safety check and you drop into a total eclipse of various types of sharks. Sand tigers, black tip, gallopogus, saw, etc, land on the sand and watch the show. Or are you the show? Lady’s and gents, kids and sharks of all ages are watching you, swim up to the glass and slap hands with the children out side, converse with the fish in the tank, all while being video taped, for your later viewing.
All in all it is a cool dive, very expensive, once in a life time dive. I am glad I did it and can’t wait to do another "canned" dive. Lots of big life in a small space. Thanks for listening.

That sounds great. I have always wanted to try a "canned" dive. I will be there next month - perhaps worth checking out.

A lot of different life in one place, and no barracuda.

LOL, ok so you read my barracuda fiasco. I would rather swim with 100 sharks with fish in my pocket than those creepy barracuda.

I did, I love diving w barracuda, they are so cool. But that’s just my opinion.
