Hi -

I live in the Midwest - near Chicago. I am a scuba diver and freediver. I am also a noob spearo.

I travel quite a bit for work and will travel to dive. Got into diving hard in 2020 - and will be even more intensely involved in 2021.

Deeply interested in exploring wrecks, reef and underwater life. Haven’t spent enough time in Lake Michigan. Love diving in the gritty North Atlantic (especially New Jersey) and heading down to Florida this winter should be cool...

In 2021 I have planned a number of trips so far: Key Largo to go back and dive the Spiegel Grove and Duane, Some spearo (freediving) action in as well in Florida and Michigan. With go to Bonne Terre Mines/Mermet Springs in Early 2021 and a Liveaboard in Roatan for Springbreak. I will plan to do as much diving in Lake Michigan and Long Beach Island shipwrecks as I can this year. In Michigan, I’ll observe and touch nothing like a good Midwestern diver. In LBI, I’ll be a proper Jersey diver and treasure hunt, lobster, spearfish and act like a proper pirate. Sardine Run in South Africa with Divers Ready in July. Maybe another Liveaboard in the Fall/Winter. Target is around 200 dives this year.

I also plan on doing some more training: Deep Diver, Wreck and getting my Master Scuba Diver for shits and Giggles. I will consider Divemaster potentially in the future. I don’t know. Have signed up for a GUE "Fundys" course as well. And will start tech training likely in the late summer early fall with plans to do Advanced Nitrox, Decompression Procedures and Advanced Wreck. In the meantime, trying to build up more experience with my backplate and wing, doubles, working on my propulsion, SAC/RMV rate and do some theoretical/knowledge building before I take the plunge.

Or I can dive in Haigh Quarry. Over and Over and Over again.
