Your dive site comments about "no fish and a little boring" reminded me of a booth I saw at a dive show. They were selling a magazine for cave divers which promised; No photos of pretty fish! That pretty much sums up my reason for not cave diving, no fish and a little boring!

Hi Ray, having read your opinion about cave diving, as a cave diver, I must add my own. While it’s true that you won’t be seeing many fish penetrating beyond the light zones of the caverns, there are other flora, fauna, and bacteria to be seen appreciated. The clay banks are most breathtaking, as are the giant vertical fissures. Being that you are not a trained cave diver, therefore have not yet experienced the grander that those of us who find solace in the darker regions get to experience as they penetrate the veins of the earth. Our aquifers are most magnificent. Being deep within our earth requires a technical mind unlike the ocean or wrecks, as one needs to be able to distinguish a difference in all the formations of rock, sand, and clay that one passes. Obviously, this is imperative to not dying. :-) For those seeking to delve deeper into their own minds, and challenge oneself, cavern to full cave is an awesome journey. Check out my many photos (here and my personal websites) to learn more.
