Are thinking spearfishing or shark? The shark requires AOW, NITROX, and recent deep dive. It’s a three tank dive. The first drop is usually chasing the chum basket in about 110ft of water on top of the deep ledge while swimming at about 85ft. The next two drops are sitting on the bottom at 75ft on the Bon Aire or Sun Mariner wrecks.

Most of the serious spearfishing boats are small six-pack boats with quite a few being private. They tend to hit the smaller reefs or reefs that aren’t pretty like the ones the cattle boats hit. Hunting tends to be a solo sport. Therefore you need to be self reliant and redundant for safety. What is you experience?
