Did some diving at wee little Aeneas Beach in Monterey for the first time last Saturday 11/15/2014. It’s next to the Monterey Plaza Hotel on Cannery Row. I scored sweet parking right in front of the stairs and did 2 single tank dives.

The diving is similar to MacAbee a little further west on Cannery Row - spent most of my time in the 20’ to 30’ range. Bottom is sandy with frequent clusters of kelpy rocks to explore. Viz was really good that day, 20+ feet.

There’s a kayak shop across the street that uses the beach for launches & landings - keep an eye out when surfacing. I gave space and had no issues.
