Recently relocated to Dallas from Chicago and am missing my dive buddy back home! I’m looking for a new buddy and am open to diving anywhere - I love to check out new dive sites.

Welcome Mindi. Your always welcome to dive. I think you will find everyone in the area pretty open and welcoming. You have arrived in the 3rd year of a horrible draught. Pray for rain. I was at Clear Springs in Terrell on 1/1/2014 and the level was depressing. We spent a lot of Sundays heading up to Oklahoma this year to find a descent spot.

I don’t know if the club in Plano even exist anymore. The two very active clubs in the area are the Dive Rebels in Arlington (Humperdink’s first Wednesday) and Scubadillo’s in Carrollton. There are a lot of members in common. The Scubadillo’s meet at a smoking location so I have never been to one of their meetings Lots of nice people though. The Dive Rebel meeting is actually this Wednesday night. divingrebels.org/ . Join the facebook page even if you don’t join the club. Its a drive but the meetings have been worth the trip.

That would be great! I haven’t dove since June and I’m sooo ready to go. I hope it warms up soon so I can start diving again. I hear there’s good diving around Austin too. LMK if you’d be interested in going :)
