Genius!!!! I made a free standing rack from PVC. First try and it pretty much collapsed. I’m not much of an engineer so back to the drawing board for that one.

I’ll have to use this one myself. What size pipe did you use for this and what heat gun?

It is 1¼" PVC and I just used an old travel 1200 watt hair dryer we had laying around. It delivers plenty of hot aor to dry the boots in a short period of time. Be sure to use PVC glue when assembling the pipe pieces.

Yeah, I thought the thing I made was too small. I used 1" and used PVC glue. I intended it to be able to break down so some of the pieces aren’t glued.

i would suggest gluing the base together. You can make it a little more compact than I did for size considerations. All you would need between the joints is a long enough piece to join them together. Then just sticking the uprights into that. Gravity will keep them in place and you can break it down into a smaller size.

YEp, that was my exact thought. E even had a reinforcement in the center of the upright, but the 1" pipe was just too flimsy. My wet 5 mil tipped it right over. I’ll post pics later.

Looks great! Did you also drill any holes in the bottom for water to escape?
