Even though our official launch isn’t for another month, we have an exciting opportunity for you to come dive Catalina Island and enjoy the brand new Star Trek XI movie.
Rod Roddenberry, son of famed Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry will host a special showing of the new Star Trek film on May 9th at Catalina Island’s historic Casino Theatre. The Star Trek XI Roddenberry Evening is part of Roddenberry’s commitment to maintaining the close relationship with fans that helped make his father’s vision for a utopian future so popular. The evening will be co-hosted by the Santa Catalina Island Company.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 9th at 7:00PM at Catalina Island’s historic Casino Theatre. The evening will feature a special introduction by Rod Roddenberry followed by a Q&A and showing of the film.
In addition you can join Rod and RDT’s Executive Director, Greg Martin for several dives off Catalina’s famous Casino Point both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Plan to come and join us all weekend. We have even put together a couple of fantastic travel & hotel packages. For tickets and accommodation information please visit

Well the diving is a lot better around the Channel Islands than Kirks home state of Iowa :)

That’s for sure! But I’m sure some Iowans may argue that.

I guess you would have to see the 1940’s Ice Delivery Truck in Lake Okoboji (May or early June before the algae blooms!) All that and I live in Minnesota!
