Hello Diving Community!
My name is Joe and I love to dive. I just moved from Colorado to Florida... tired of the snow and spent the last 25 years doing the mountain thing. It’s time to do the SCUBA thing now.

I’m looking for divers to dive with on a somewhat regular basis. I have my AOW, Nitrox love all types of diving. I am 47 years old and a bit out of shape, for now. But will be in shape soon! Another reason I moved here! So... If you are in to doing the dive tour of Florida (wrecks, reef, treasure, sharks, cavern etc.), camping and having some fun give me a shout.

Joe

Hi Joe,
Welcome to Ft Pierce. I live at the north end of FP and would be interested in an occasional dive. There is good shore diving off Hutchinson island but finding a time when the seas are calm enough and vis is reasonable can be a challenge. Seas tend to be calmer during the summer so perhaps we can find some opportunities before too long. I also like to dive Blue Huron Bridge which is very shallow but has lots of small creatures you seldom see elsewhere. BHB is listed on the dive sites area and you have to dive on the high or low tide – preferably the high with entry about an hour before high tide. Great site for macro photography but only occasional large creatures. Another nice thing about BHB is about every other week (depending on time of high tide) local dive shops sponsor free night dives (you must register and get a card for your car to avoid a ticket as park access at night is regulated). Also Pura Vita dive shop normally has a DM guide there night dives at the bridge, so you do not have to have a buddy and still have a dive partner. In any case I am out of the water for at least two weeks while my wife recovers from surgery but if you want to get together occasionally after that let me know. I am retired so anytime is possible. Also there are some charters out of FP and Vero, and Jupiter is noted for regular encounters with sharks and grouper.

Thanks
Bob W
