 Jacksonville FL area march 10-16

Visiting jacksonville March 9 through 15, would like to check out some place local, maybe devils den or up for suggestions, just a day trip. Advanced open water, needing to log dives for rescue cert.

Devil’s Den and most other spring dives are a few hours drive from Jacksonville, but conditions can be great! I have Sun-Tues(13-15th) available for diving. I’ve been to most of the OW sites in the area and could meet Sun about 10am or Mon/Tues about 8:30/9am. Most of the privately owned sites(DD, Blue Grotto,Ginnie, Paradise) have rental gear if you need it, but the state parks(Manatee, Troy, Royal, Peacock) lack that. Weekends can be quite busy at all of these sites, but sometimes on weekdays you can have the site to yourself. Let me know which day(s) are best for you and if there is a specific site that you would prefer.

Most of the Florida springs are pretty boring after the first dive. If you are trying to get just dives in, I would dive those sites. But I would recommend a 3 tank charter just off of JAX for $150. I may get out there this Friday if the conditions are good. The charter is called South Georgia Dive Charters.
