Hail Ye Scuba Junkies!
I’m planning my annual Sodwana Bay (South Africa) trip and hoped to entice 2 or 3 SCUBA enthusiasts to join me there some time between 17-24 June 2015.
The plan is to fly into Durban and get a rental car from there for the drive to Sodwana (approx. 4 hours drive). This way we can reduce the overall cost to each person by splitting the car rental and fuel bill. As I’m sure you know, getting to Sodwana by shuttle is prohibitively expensive.
I will be doing my Rescue Diver course with Coral Divers and anyone looking to do their Open Water/ Advanced Open Water or Rescue Diver Course is welcome to join. Alternatively you can do some specialty courses or just a couple of fun dives if you’re already qualified.

Rescue Diver @ R2750 + First Aid Course Fee (the website claims a total fee of R3000 for both). (Incl. Course Material, Tuition, Gear Rental, Accommodation & 2 x Dives)
PLEASE NOTE:
- The weather in Sodwana is still great during June.
- Remember to budget for meals, travel expenses & sundries.
- I’m not doing this for profit. It is only to reduce the cost of getting there and back. I.e car rental and fuel split between 4 instead of 1.
